Woman in telehealth consultation

Telehealth Services

At Community Health & Wellness Partners, you can see your provider from home using telehealth - or come in for a face-to-face visit if you prefer! Here is what you need to know:

  • Insurance: Most big insurance companies, including Medicare, pay for telehealth visits just like regular office visits. It shouldn't cost you more than coming in person.

  • Technology: You'll need fast internet and a phone, tablet, or computer that can do video calls. If you do not have these, CHWP can lend you an iPad to use in the parking lot at Bellefontaine, West Liberty, or Urbana locations.

  • Quick Setup: Telehealth visits can be set up in as little as 15 minutes, and there are lots of providers ready to help each day.

  • Phone Visits: Sometimes, you might talk to your provider on the phone instead of video, but insurance may not cover these as well.

  • Virtual Care: CHWP uses special tools like tytocare™ so your provider can check your health even when you're not in the office.

How do you connect?

  • Platform: CHWP uses Doxy.me, which works on any device with internet - no app needed! You'll get an email or text before your appointment with a link to join.

  • Setting Up: Just make an appointment and let CHWP know you want a telehealth visit. Make sure they have your correct cell phone number or email.

  • Virtual Waiting Room: You'll get your link at least 10 minutes before your appointment. Once you join, CHWP staff may check your info and ask why you're visiting before your provider joins.

Remember: You need to make an appointment before joining the virtual waiting room. If you need help, CHWP is here for you every step of the way!
